Towit provides enclosed and open vehicle transport across the UK. We use Brian James trailers and work with private owners, dealers, and the motor trade.

Enquiries and quotes. When you request a quote — through the website, by WhatsApp, phone, or email — we collect your name, contact details, collection and delivery postcodes, and details of the vehicle. We use this to price and arrange your transport. The legal basis is taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
Bookings. When you book a movement, we additionally process the addresses involved, vehicle registration, and any access or handling notes you give us, so the job can be carried out and documented.
Condition report photographs. Every movement includes timestamped, geolocated photographs of the vehicle at collection and delivery. These are processed to document the vehicle’s condition and are retained against the job record so queries can be resolved after the event. This is in our and your legitimate interests.
Driver applications. If you apply to drive for Towit, we collect the details you submit — name, contact details, operating base, equipment and insurance information, and at vetting stage licence and insurance documentation — to assess your application. This is a step towards entering into a contract with you.
Website analytics. Where analytics are enabled, we use them to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Analytics data is aggregated and not used to identify you.
To carry out a movement we share the necessary job details — names, addresses, contact numbers, and vehicle details — with the insured professional driver performing it. Form submissions on this site are delivered to our inbox by a form-forwarding provider. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Enquiry details that do not become bookings are kept for up to 12 months. Booking records and condition report photographs are retained for up to 6 years, reflecting insurance and legal limitation periods. Unsuccessful driver applications are kept for up to 6 months.
This site uses only the cookies needed for it to function and, where enabled, analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@towit.ai. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and the current version will always be published on this page.
